Entries are now open for the YFest Music Busking Competition held on Easter Saturday 3rd April. Entries are open to MUSICIANS of any age and discipline.
If you can sing or play an instrument this is the event for you. Join others in making Warracknabeal Lions Park come alive and you will be in the running for one of the BIG CASH PRIZES!!!

This is a great opportunity to make your musical talents known to the wider community! Bring along your business cards or be ready with your details for business owners who might like YOU to perform at their next function.
Entrants will be required to meet at the Lions Park at 12 noon following the Busking Down the Street
Entrants will be be allocated a time slot and should be ready to play at the time
Buskers can perform in the main street prior to the Easter Parade. Each Busker can select their own site in Scott Street and perform up to 11 am. After the Easter Parade, the street Buskers can move to the Lions Park for the Busking Competition.
Winner Announcement - Buskers are asked to gather near the stage at the completion of the competition where the winners receive certificates and prize money and for photo opportunities.
Amplification, microphones, speakers etc will be provided at the Lions Park for all performers in the Busking.
Two experienced and qualified judges will judge the entrants in the field. Their decision is final.
All participants will receive a certificate of participation at the end of the event.
Criteria for Warracknabeal Busking Competition on Easter Saturday
Competition Winners will be decided upon using the following selection criteria:
Ability to perform the act they have chosen to a high standard
Ability to engage and connect with an audience
Performance must be suited to the particular audience they wish to engage on the day
An obvious knowledge of their chosen skill
A performance that is visually and musically engaging
An ability to show versatility within a performance
A performer that shows confidence during their act
A performer/s that stands out above other performances
No voice enhancment equipment or recorded backing singers allowed
All Buskers must provide an entry form. Application forms should be forwarded and received by 7 pm on the 27th March to ensure time slots are arranged and any special provisions are in place for all performers.
Each perfomer must comply with the Busking Rules and Regulations
Full sound System is provided with technician
Each perfomer must be prepared and ready to start in the correct position and time allocated.
Each performer must have Competitors Number clearly visible for judges.
